The Series 6 & Series 7 are fully compliant Category 6/ ISO E and Category 7/ISO F with frequency ranges up to 350Mhz and 750Mhz respectively. Full graphical autotests are performed as quickly as 25 seconds for 250Mhz and 35 seconds at 600Mhz cable.
Both units utilize an advanced link adapter method to reduce cost of ownership. The Series 6 & Series 7 are both packaged with Category 6/ISO E channel adapters and the Series 7 also includes two Category 7/ISO F channel adapters. These channel adapters fit into the case of the unit and are locked into place. This creates a stable and repeatable testing platform while eliminating bulky adapters extending beyond the end of the units. By simply plugging in the appropriate patch cord to the channel adapter you can now perform permanent link testing. Should the plug on the patch cord ever wear out you can simply purchase a new patch cord rather than the entire assembly greatly reducing the lifetime cost of ownership.
Available accessories include the industry’s most advanced fiber options, FIBERTEC and TEACETEK. FIBERTEK enables loss, length, bi-directional testing over two fibers, and talkset over fiber capabilities for 850 and 1300 nm Multimode and 1310 and 1550 nm Singlemode fiber. TRACETEK is the first fiber accessory for a copper tester that will trace a fiber run, locate distance to events along the fiber, and measure the magnitude of the event. This capability can eliminate the need for a more costly OTDR in campus network environments.
Series 6P & Series 7P Premium kits include all of the components of the "B" kit plus:
