|If you work with high-temperature thermocouples and you'd rather test them than throw them out, but you haven't found a calibration instrument that checks them economically, now you have a solution.
The Model 9150 delivers all the benefits to make verifying your thermocouples productive and effective.
The 9150's temperature display and built-in type S thermocouple are system calibrated in our lab for display accuracy. of ±4°C (7.2°F) over the entire range 1200°C (2192°F). Each 9150 includes a NIST–traceable certificate with data at four points between 150°C and 1200°C.
For comparison work, stability is better than ±0.5°C (0.9°F) at 1200°C and even better at lower temperatures. Hole-to-hole gradients are also less than ±0.5°C at maximum temperature. Therefore, with a good reference thermometer and careful comparison techniques, your calibration uncertainties can be less than 1°C.
A wide variety of inserts is available to maximize productivity and enable comparison work. Thermocouples from 1/16" to 1/2" (1.6 to 12.7 mm) in diameter can be used, depending on which of our standard inserts you choose. Each insert accepts as many as six probes. Custom inserts are also available.
Each furnace comes with an RS-232 interface -it software which lets you control the unit from a Windows® environment. For maximum productivity, the 9150 can be combined with a Hart reference thermometer and our "Calibrate–It" software to fully automate thermocouple testing. "Calibrate-It" reads all types of temperature sensors, controls heat sources such as the 9150 and creates calibration reports that comply with ANSI/NCSL Z40-1.
For use in the field, the 9150 includes important features for on-site calibrations. At only 28 pounds (13kg), it goes anywhere you need it to. This furnace heats to maximum temperatures in just over half-hour.
